Jan 30, Kay rated it really liked it. Feb 26, Erika rated it liked it Shelves. Brooklyn, New York , Ships to. Indeed, each little snapshot was just a brief look into the author's life. Refresh and try again. Not the dumb boys she continued to date or the broken conversations she had with her mother. Apr 19, Sarah rated it it was ok Shelves. Great seller with very good positive feedback and over 50 ratings. Very basic and not fun to look at. Didn't know what to expect from "Snapshots of a Girl" but maybe going in blindly worked in my favor.

Jenna from Fairfield Age: 33. Young, cheerful, positive, open for communication and new acquaintances...

I suppose I always have high hopes for lesbian graphic novels, probably because it's my favorite genre of book. I am thankful that she shares her gifts with the world. I'm not Turkish but I definitely heard her mom's words in my aunts' and grandma's voices lol. Though, I also realize that both discovering your sexual identity and coming out are very confusing as well so maybe that kind of added to being able to feel a side of what she felt. My favorite story involved a phone call to her mom "Snapshots of a Girl" by Beldan Sezen was a quick but fun read. But is allowed me to grow my own. In case that offends you. I wish an editor had worked with her to pull things together. The book only really comes alive for me during the few pages where the creator use I guess the author decided to stay true to her title, because I am given only frustratingly small, random snapshots of her life from here and there instead of a woven tapestry of who she is and how she got there. They are able to establish and develop their characters and their relationships within a snapshot. I really wanted to like this as it's an ownvoices work about a lesbian woman.
